K5 music group was established by deejay Kevin Shiver in 1995. The song "Passion" was a huge success and the single went on to sell more than 1,000,000 copies worldwide. It also made it on to Billboard Magazine's Hot 100 at #98 and #24 on Maxi-single sales Top 50. Dana Dee joined DJ KJ in 2000 and released "Fly Away" in 2002. Following that "Alive" was released in 2003. Both band tracks and a few others are featured on "The Best of DJ KJ" CD. Dana Dee replaced the lead vocalist of K5 when she subsequently left the group. KJ and Dana Dee have re-created "Passion" and have released several songs over the years and have live performances all around the country.
Dana Dee was introduced to Rob-E and KJ by a fellow Air Force friend, Ktanah (KT). Dana and KT attended Air Force training together in TX. KT heard Dana sing during sing-a-longs the girl flight held in the barracks with the little free time given. Additionally, they both were stationed together at Patrick Air Force Base in Cocoa Beach, FL and it was all history from there.
Thank you my gorgeous friend, KT. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. Your friend forever, XOXO Dana Dee.
